Hidden in the hills of Tochigi-ken on the outskirts of Tokyo is a remarkable museum dedicated to the collection and display of Japanese porcelain known as Imari and Nabeshima ware. Hideo Kurita established the museum in 1975, to give public display to his large ceramic collection. Sited in Kurita's hometown Ashikaga, the museum incorporates over a dozen buildings on about 25 acres of wooden grounds. (READ MORE...)
